I work for Hi-Spec Motorsport who make some monster brakes, take a look: http://www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk/

Incase you don't know Radical tested Brembo, AP Racing and Hi-Spec on their cars and we out performed the rest
on a like for like basis. as a result we now supply them with their brake systems.
(this test was on the billet 4 set up)

After badgering the gov I have managed to get us a pretty sweet deal. Basically if I can get enough interest (20+ ppl)
I can offer a massive discount .... 20-25% depending on numbers.

These don't have to be for a corsa, just 20+ people ordering through here at the same time.

the standard kit for a corsa would be the 285mm billet 4 which is £680.52 inc VAT

this includes:
grooved & vented discs, calipers, carriers, braided hoses, pads & fluid. (everything you need)
+ bolts, washers & nuts etc..

but through the group buy we would be looking at £510.39 so a saving of £170!

so take a look at the site and if your interested let me know.

ooh and if you guys want I can get the calipers made with a custom logo on for a one off fee of £100
but this requires a minimum of 10 pairs of calipers. so if 10 people wanted vauxhall or corsasport written
on the calipers it would only be £10 extra each

Is this the economy kit? I take it the one you are using as an example has one piece discs?

Also, are the piston sizes calculated for standard master cylinders or would the master cylinder need upgrading too?

I could be interested on a set of 300mm for a 206 GTi but your site doesn't list them

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

no the economy kit has plain rotors and vibro finished calipers and doesn't come with pads hoses or fluids. the example above is for the standard kit, which has grooved or drilled rotors and coloured calipers. yes the 285mm discs are one piece, the two piece are 300mm and up. they are a bit more expensive though ..... the existing master cylinder will be fine. All kits are priced by size and spec not on the vehicle as they are all custom built to order. So a 206 gti shouldn't be a problem. I will ask the gov on monday to make sure though.

Probably not, a mate of mine has wilwoods and they only just fit under his 14's, had to take the weights off as they were catching on the caliper (the wheels were are only used for the strip though)

no link to review as there isn't one ... radical tested all three and ours were better and now we make all there brakes. Prices are on the website, just minus the 25% discount

well I thought I would offer the chance ... if there are less people then there wont be so much of a discount (15% if its over 10).

connollygt30 I don't have pics but I will see If I can get any from work .... you can have any size you want from the list on the website, so long as you can fit it under your wheel.

no bigger is more expensive, smaller is cheaper. I just used a 285mm as an example as most people on here will be running 15's on a corsa and that is the largest kit you can fit under them. there is a price list here:

http://www.hispecbrake.co.uk/Price%20Lists/Billet%20Conversions.htm

above prices are for a billet 4 caliper set up

You have absolutely ZERO chance of getting 20 people from this site, the majority of people are timewasters.

I also would express an interest in something that will fit under a 13" wheel, in my case for a Rover Metro but as you won't get 20 people it seems pointless to show willing.

yea the kit comes with standard road pads unless you ask (and pay) for fast road or race pads. I will get you a list of options available.

Plus I know I paid less than that for my Wilwood 4pots that were on my LET and that wasn't in any kind of group buy.
