GF goes on holiday later, wants to know if her BBmessenger will work abroad or does she need to ring up? anyone know, save me a phonecall while im at work

I dont know if this is the case but I have always thought that BBM just uses the internet on your phone to send messages? Might be a bit more expensive than texts?

AFAIK it's free worldwide to use - I've spoken to a mate who's in America for 3 months and it's cost me nothing so far. No idea how it works though!

Works fine.
Colleague has a UK Blackberry supplied by work, but lives in Dubai - we use BB Messenger as alternative to text

it works but last cost loads when uk to germany last month

I think roaming needs to be enabled. I did it and it cost me a small fortune.
