Sure, I'd take his opinion more seriously than I would most peoples though, given that he's around the stuff all the time. Same as I would trust a plumber's word on my broken shitter rather than the bloke in the pub.

True, but I think it can be quantifiable to a certain extent, I don't think anyone would argue that teletubbies say eh-oh is as valid a piece of music as Schubert's string quintet in c major for example.
