How do you no if they are gaz golds becsuse we are turning the shaft but not getting any clicks and is there a way of telling if they are golds?
Also there dose not appear to be a end stop?

on my none gaz golds there is a little knob on the damper that you turn. Do you have to press the piston in or anything to make it click?

They're a Pug fitment I think but mine don't have the knob on the side or anodised spring seats.

Here's the post of him saying they are Golds.

Not spending anymore, or not having it off the road any longer.
Not worth the expense or hassel.
Everything is less than a year old, spunked a ton into this motor. But enough is enough.
Samco are Black
Gaz Gold coilovers....the best ones!
Full Piper manifold back system.
I'm open to serious, sensible, offers.
I won't sell stuff for buttons as it's all fresh and i need a replacemenet car.
email or pm me
neil.davies@futurenet.co.uk
I'll be pissed if they're normal ones but even so, need to know how to adjust them or even if they are adjustable, as I don't fancy fitting them while there's no indication what position they are in.

k, reason i ask is because i noticed the shocks were the fork type fitment meaning you have an early rear beam/drum setup, might be worthwhile keeping in mind for the future to possibly source a 2nd hand later rear beam 2000>
the advantage is a 10mm wider track, with no spacer, yours will have a 10mm spacer and they crumble easily, also the drums are bigger 200mm as opposed to 180mm so better braking.
you probably dont care about that atm because of this shock business but when your bored something to think about.

They don't look like golds now there is a pic to compare them against.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

ya can adjust the damping rate by the key on the top of the strut, and you adjust the height using ze spanners.

Dose the damper need to be under compression ie the car sitting on the floor for you to be able to adjust them?
Last night could not see how it was possable to do because it spun the thread

Thats a GHA coilover. The front ones only have rebound damping adjustment.
