I have some astra sxi alloys that currently have 205/50/16's on will these rub with a 40mm drop all round? cheers!

also wanted to know this i got 205/45/16 would it rub with a 40mm drop all round ? or maybe 60mm rear & 40mm front ?

I had 205/40/17 lowered 40mm and it only rubbed over big dips or if there was 2 people in the back, 16's will be fine.

id go 40mm drop with 205/45/16s on and if the offsets 49 you should be ok

why not get 195/40 or 45?

195/50/15's are pretty big, 205/50/16 will be more than 30mm taller over-all.. Might look silly!

When i first got my 16"astra Sxi wheels the srubbed like fuck and that was 40mm down.

So if it standard tyres yes it will scrub

thats a good info for me that one matey because im thinking of getting my mums astra mk4 sxi's so i can have them on my car and mine a 60mm drop with 195 45 15 on momos and they rub bad because the et is 37 not 49 but i cut my arches on the front and reat and hit the rears with a hammer so they come out abit and i filled away the old metal and sanded them so it is smooth and mines been fine i dont know how it will be with people in the back but it does well with my sub in like
