Toying with this idea
The extent i would goto would be all rear seats and trim removed, carpets etc, then eventually buckets in front.
Then id look at reusing my spare 'cossie' rim with a tyre and mouting it in the boot area that would give me a good spare and not have to carry that tyre weld around everywhere.
Is this a silly idea?

whats the point, will all the extra noise and discomfort be worth the small amount of weight reduced

yep its a daily driver, its also a road car that gets used on track, and buckets would be a massive benefit to me as the current seats are useless

the weight isnt the main reason im doing it, yes the weight is an added advantage, not one that bothers me much as i reckon the gains will be negligable, the main reason is so i can fit the buckets, and also have a decent spare wheel

I had high hopes for this thread
Don't think I could live with a stripped car, do you really gain much from doing it?

i would do it 3corsameal. theyre such a slow car that it might feel more of a difference than say a corsa sport with stripped interior out.
i dont see the point on a daily driver. so what if you take it round a track? doesnt have to look like time attack when its parked up at the supermarket does it?

It's true though you moron, you go to the 'Ring twice a year and that's it.
You won't do track days as it would mean having to interact with other humans.
