FAIL

needs
2 new front tyres due to inside walls splitting
1 rear tyre as nearly on the limit
exhaust hanger welded as has broken off exhaust
sidelight bulb

All things i knew about

also needs new front spring due to broken springs

other half did say it was making some funny noise yesterday but didnt expect a broken spring on a o6 plate motor

needs taxed aswell

expensive month

why did you put it in for mot knowing about things it would fail on?

why would you not get the stuff fixed first? granted you didnt know about the springs, but that would have become apparrent doing the other work!

That's what i wonder, why do people do this... Waste of £50 or what ever an MOT costs. Got shut if my Pug because i knew it had serious costly problems

If I know its going to fail I normally just chuck it in and get a list of what needs doing to get it passed.

Got mot on mine on Saturday, I know it could do with front bushes but i'll see if it fails on them before I get it sorted.

My MoT place doesn;t charge for a retest; I always just drop it in, with a list of known jobs but he always MoTs it first then fixes everythign in 1 go and then the second MoT is free

the garage can stick 3 new tyres on it and switch a bulb over. Said to them about the exhaust but they arent able to weld it.

and it doesnt cost for a retest anyway so hardly a waste

£200 odd for a pair of standard front springs

£170 for a a full set of eibach springs

And how can they charge an extra £20 for sat delivery but not gaurantee it

No Eibach in the country apparently

apex are and are cheaper so maybe a plus

time to start looking for a new car i think
