its only £80 to transfer to another car, and fill out the document when you are there and you are sorted

well its a £120 for retention of the plate, but you dont have to pay anything when you transfer to the new car

£105 is correct.. £80 transfer and £25 retention.

You'll need the receipt number at the top of the tax disc, MOT, V5 and £105

ahh ok, didnt know that, you dont need the tax disc, well, not if you are transferring!

You always need the number from the top of the tax disc.

it's a rip off.
i just removed my plate off evo, then a couple weeks later i decide to keep the car

V317 is to get it off the car, either to transfer or retain. £80 fee in both cases plus a further £25 for the latter.

V778 the certificate itself and is used to put it on another car. No fee, assuming the nominee details are the same as those of the V5 you are assigning to, £25 otherwise.

V778/1 used to be used to retain and has been replaced by the modified V317 which now does both.

i need to do this aswell i have just bough another car and want to transfer my reg off 1 car on to another car but the log book for the car i have just bought the garage sent the part off so what things would i need to do the tranfer and how much will it cost?
