hi, new to here.
ive bought a 99 spec sxi 1.2 16v in arden blue.
im after lowering it, and also stiffening it at the same time.
i have got 15" compomotive th's, and im after knowing whats the best size tyre (profile) and the best lowering mm to enable the car handles ok.

go for 195/45/15's
u can drop 60mm, but if u can afford it, get full suspension kit

yeah go for 195/45/15's.
mines lowered on eibach springs. very rigid ride, gr8 for cornering tho!

get a spring and shock combo, it makes so much more differrence than just lowering springs.

if ur on a budget get GMAX kit - depends on how deep ur wallet is 
u can get eibach shocks, springs and anti-roll bar kits, try www.pvdnet.co.uk

go for astra GTE disks n calipers - ur looking at 40 quid plus for a set

is that it?! mega, i work in parts at a vaux dealer so even cheaper then!
not xdrilld discs or ebc's?
i know its a 1.2 16v but im prepping for a conversion next year....

dont just change the discs. as stu said get astra gte or cav/astra gsi calipers discs and pads. u wont get them that cheap from a dealers. go to www.migweb.co.uk there is always loads for sale on there very cheap. the calipers are a straight swap, very easy and they work a million times better than any standard size performance discs on youjr current brakes will.

they are very common. but better off getting ones off a car which has been looked after. shit loads of people on here have the conversion to these brakes.

ive got some astra ones at home waiting to be fitted, only paid 40 quid for them.
dead common n loads about, but just need 2 know wot ur looking for.

what sort of back box and mods to the exhaust would be good, ive seen ashley back boxes...im after a deep nice sound, but no bothered about chrome....im into euro/rally slag type cars, hence the compomotive th wheels!

get an induction kit for noise, go and get a powerflow exhaust, they custom make em for wat you want and like for like they cost no more.
