Just had 2 new tyres fitted. I had a quick look round when I went to pick it up and no damage jumped out at me. Got back to work and wiped some of the tyre gunk off and theres a scratch round the outside of the rim. Its not massive but it wasn't there before!

Do I go down there on my lunchtime and ask for some money back to get them refurbed or what? Do I have a leg to stand on?

I can see them saying they were like that before or something. Fucking pissed off. I had tyres fitted to my old car and they got damaged a lot worse than these have but they denied it when I went back. Why cant these fuck faces do their job properly

Last time I had some tyres fitted the guy checked the wheel with me for marks while I was there.

Was nervous as they where my brothers freshly powdercoated BM MV2's

In hindsight I should of done that. But I made the mistake of thinking I could trust someone to do their job properly.

same thing happened to me, and they blatantly had smeared some puncture repair glue over the scratch in the middle of the wheel to cover it and make it look like dirt, only realised a week later when i cleaned them

Made that mistake with my corsa and ended up with a warped rear quarter panel

this has happened to mine, and they were only refurbed not long ago, then same place have damaged my dads wheel on the audi.

really angers me as i can't really do anything about it, not like they will pay for a refurb.

i'll get my own back someday/somehow

Its not a surface scratch, its cut through the paint. Its not the sort of thing you could cause with a cloth

I'll use ATS next time and pay the extra. They've fitted 2 sets of tyres in the past without a single mark. These guys were £20 a tyre cheaper and now I know why.

some guy pulled up to the tyre place yesterday when i was there.

had some matt black amg merc, sounded like a big v8 of some sort. 2 asian dudes in it.

they followed the car everywhere and waited right next to the tyre fitter while they were doing it instead of sitting in the waiting room.

now i see why it's a disgrace. if i put a fucked flywheel on, i'd probably get suspended.

but these fucking retarded mongs who did fuck all at school scratch your alloys then deny it

I wouldn't go as far as standing there watching them as thats going to put them under more pressure and then they are more likely to fuck up!

around here you have the normal crap kwikfit with the retarded teenagers who throw the wheels around OR you have decent companies which you pay a little bit extra for and they look after your car when they are doing it, amazing thing is the more expensive place always has mercs, bmws , range rovers in it because people pay more for a better service

I did go to the more expensive place (£15 a wheel) & it still happened.

Got it sorted right enough.

Right well I sat at my desk stewing over it all morning then went out to have another look at lunch, looked worse 2nd time round so drove straight down there.

To be fair to them they didn't argue, they said yeah it does look like their machines damaged them. He phoned their head office and they are getting a company to hopefully sort them out. Just got to wait for them to tell me what day.

So maybe they aren't as much of a bunch of wankers as I first said. Shall have to see how well the repair/respray goes. But at least they have admitted fault.

Nah I didn't bother with the handbrake, I just drove straight in to their workshop and smashed through the office wall. Then they knew I meant business.
