i think my fuel pump may be dying as my fuel gage hasent worked since i put a new tank in(even tho that was neally a year ago,but its realy pissing my of now,not having a petrol gauge) and now my car once it gets hot i dosent start unless you put your foot flat down on the throttle and turn the engine over for about 5 mins and then it works fine

that wont be your fuel pump, the guage not working will be the sender i would have thought and the not starting could be a couple of things but very, very doubtful its the pump

I was thinking the starting thing could be EGR stuck open?

no i havent got an eml on,and also forgot to say when in does start after cranking it loads it stinks of petrol likt the choke is stuck on and it flodding

it will smell of petrol because of how much its been pumping through while you have been turning it over

the sender unit it in the top of the tank under rear seat. What engine have you got in it??

only a 1.2 8v how do iseperate the sender unit from the pump,and the senders the bobberly are fing yes
