Basically I have a private plate that starts in G6, I wanna find G5 or G7 and see if they wanna sell it...how would I go about tracking the owner of the plate?

look round all the car parks?

1st need to see if car its on has mot or you cant take it off that car....

I have no idea where you'd start to find it....searched for it on DVLA Registrations and it's not on there, now I dunno what to do next

You would need access to the DVLA database. Like car clamping/ticketing companies do. If you could find someone like that who would run you a check they would be able to get Full name address etc etc

You could make an enquiry on a numberplate website and they may get in touch with them.

Ask Mid will tell you the car make & model, then trawl through the websites hoping there a member?

Doesn't look like I'm gonna get anywhere with this. If I get a copper to look it up for me it'll only come back on them if the people I call get spooked about me finding out their details so easily and report it or something. The next number up is G13 which just doesn't look as good as a single digit

Doubt you'll have much luck to be honest mate, i've been after B155MRE for years but i've not managed to contact the owners at all! DVLA didnt want to help much

If you had a private number plate would you really want the DVLA giving out your number and address so people can ask if your selling it?
