Was just sitting here browsing CS and suddenly felt a pin prick pain on my arm, fucking mosquito! so I killed the cnut and upon checking my room I just had to flatten 9 in total!
What attracts them? lights? or the smell of a meal?

I get them all the time, just been bitten by one now as I was reading this.
Had a barbeque a couple of weeks ago and ended up with between 30 and 40 bites, wasn't pleasant. It's body heat and perspiration that attracts them, oh, and only the females bite. Bitches.

Yeah, tell me about it. They even bite through clothing FFS. I'm one of those people who react badly to them as well, the one that I've just got has already swollen up to the size of a 20p.

Seriously, buy a fan. We got one from wilko for £18, it's a build-it-yourself one and it stands up, 3 speeds, rotating, it works perfectly.

Ive got a portable AC unit in my room at the moment but have to turn the cunt off to sleep.
Usually 30 seconds after lights out I hear a buzzing coming towards me, put the light on and BAM! kill the mossie and go to sleep. Its always one per night as if they are territorial.

We have the hardest midges in the world up here but no mosquitoes thank fuck, got bit in the back of the ear off one of them in Turkey and it ended up infected.
