Fell in love.....http://middlehurst.nissan.co.uk/used-vehicles/search/detail?ve_id=UF02RAF&h=3b1d5
Going to test drive it this afternoon.
Nothing wrong with the RS6, it does everything I want it to and buying this would wipe me out finance wise for at least 18 months. Its not the sensible thing to do......talk me out of it!!!

only live once mate.
if you don't buy it will you be pissed off with having the RS6 and not going for the nissan?
sometimes i regret buying the focus st because it cost a hell of a lot for me (£414 finance, £185 insurance, £200+ a month petrol) which could've gone towards house money.
but then i think about all the good times i had with it and how good it made me feel and i think it wasn't a waste of money at all.
you work hard to earn your money so spend it how you wish
serious question: are you single? if yes, DO IT!!! when you're tied down you can't spend your own money how you wish to

if i were in a position to afford something that cool and have no ties and be stable then i probably would.
obviously the RS6 is amazing as it is, and is far more practical

Transmission - Automatic
Enough to put me off that one, even though it says semi automatic which is slightly better.
Might be awkward getting snowboards in the back of the GTR

They are very nice but there are some internet horror stories about running costs.
gearbox launch control and automatic bonnet risers in an accident being two of them.

Stu if it does not wipe you out financially then go for it.
If it is going to stretch you too much then I would not bother as you will not enjoy the car so much if it is raping your monies.

Hold up northen bufty, what happened to the building trade? When did you stick your oar in my patch of work? And more to the fact, WHY? It sucks
seriously though, what you doing in IT?
On topic, I had a dabble with a GTR in the VXR, it was laughable, an absolutle joke So i've tried it with my bike and its much better. Gearchange is insanely fast, and it it just goes.....
As said, big stories about maintenance not being cheap, but realistically, its not going to be any more than the TVR or RS6 are. just don't run into the back of any vans at 5mph...

Transmission doesnt turn me off it, I'm used to the paddle shift with the RS6 (fair play its a bit shit in the RS6 so I reckon the GTR will be better)
Yeah Ive always had an IT background so when the building trade dried up I just did a little sidestep. Im an IT manager at the moment but also do a bit of marketing too.
The GTR would be down on power a fair bit to the RS6 but I think that could easily be sorted. Its a bit lighter and a bit more "focussed" I think too. Straight line speed I dont think there would be nothing in it but I dont think the GTR is about that anyway.
The only thing that does worry me is that it will be my only car and I wont get 4 mates and 4 snowboards in!

800 conversion?!?! 800 bhp? good bye gearbox, engine, warranty etc..
Its quick enough as standard - with some light breathing mods its a 10sec 1/4mile car... VERY quick.
Exhaust, De-Cat, Y Pipe, remap - go

think its just named as an 800 conversion, but gives around that power.
Standard engine, standard gearbox, standard pistons. Its becoming a common conversion abroad now.
Youtube it, honestly, the thing bloody flies, its absolutly mental. Few grand like, but power per ££ is superb.
