Had phonecalls over the past few days about refunding bank charges from "My Bank" they say there gonna refund bank charges etc make it sound good then ask for your card number. Soon as they said that i hung up and rang my bank and they knew nothing about it, so just beware, i know ure not stupid but sum1 might be caught out by it.

I had a similar call to this. I just kept asking who he was calling from, and he said "your bank" refused to say an actual bank. Pissed around for a bit then got bored.

tbh, even when my bank rings me and I genuinely believe it is them, when they ask for 'mothers maiden name' or ask me to confirm a recent transaction, I reverse the call and ask them to do the same first.

Some operators do, and some get funny, but theres no way id hand out answers to someone whos just rang me....

I do this, call back to make sure it's genuine. Can't be too careful nowadays

Problem is these days, there are too many 'idiots' and if they believe a bank manager who is dying in nigeria wants to leave them so many millions, they won't last long in this world.

Unfortunately, you have to be extremely vigilant with your money these days because everyone is out to try take it from you.

Well you will all eat your hats. I've just had the call, gave the nice gentleman on the phone all my details and in 3 working days I'll be getting a £200 cheque

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
