wey my dad wrote his audi a3 off not long ago, hes since been offered a saab 9-3 1.8 turbo for a fair price. just wondering has any1 had any experiences with them?
car looks mint condition, nice bright red(not pink) full leather interior
apparently the 1.8 turbos are rare

No idea of that exact engine but a few people in work have/had 93s.
Nice enough cars, good value, but very, very plasticy interiors. About a million buttons on the dash which looks fairly dated now.
I've been in/driven the 3.2 turbo and 2.0 turbo and both go well. Imagine the 1.8 wouldn't be far behind.

thats my mates, hes recently sold it but that was the 1.9 diesel turbo and he says its one of his best cars hes had yet. his mate owns a tinting company so we'll be doing the windows like my mates and dad said he'd want the wheels done black, theyre the same as my mates aswell so im thinking of anthracite. im liking the look of them

They don't suit being modded imo.
And a dump valve would just be a waste of cash

My brother's got a 53 plate (iirc) 9-3 Aero. It's the 2.0t with 220bhp i think, goes well and feels more luxury than it probably is, well worth the money. He also had a TTid on hire for 6 months and that was much the same. Expect parts are quite cheap too, mostly vauxhall I think.

As you'd expect really, the 85 year old coffin dodger that normally drives a Saab doesnt want mad turbo whistle while he's going round town

why
They are a very poor car - I know someone who had one and they had nothing but trouble
they are wll known in the industry to be a very poor car
christ thats why thy lose so much money
Also 1.8t is very under powered - 2.0 with a low pressure turbo
beter off with a vectra as its the same car
