what would be better is if the 21st box contained nothing at all.... she would be well pissed at opening 21 boxes and getting nowt at the end.

Couldn't you make them ? Get a load of bits of stiff coloured card, and then gradually make bigger boxes with each. Get A3 sheets and you should easily have enough, and if you do them a few mm's bigger than the last they'll fit snuggly. Would just need a craft knife or long scissors to get straight cuts and a ruler to help with the bends ?

by the time you get to 21, it'll be some seriously big box Only thing i can suggest is that you go to a graphic/print company and see if they'll create some for you, although it won't be cheap

if i've worked it out correctly it would cost £40 ish. i would be tempted to skip a few sizes rather than always going up by 5mm at a time. you could then just chuck random small gift bits in there at certain points to keep her interested.

I'm assuming it's 21 boxes for age and the number of pressies there will be, would be extremely daft if he was getting 21 boxes just for one present

That's the only reason i could see it working, each box having a little present until the final box which has something expensive/meaningful. Seems a bit of an arseache just for one present and being blunt, a bit shit.

Yes, I'd rather have one really nice gift in the last box, than a lot of crap. Like I said the fact he thought of doing something like that would mean as much if not more than the gift anyway !

for an exes 21st i bought her a nice ring.
BUT i bought her 20 little cheapo pressies.
3 weeks before her birthday i gave her one present, and one each consecutive day thereafter until on the 21st day i gave her the main present.
