Looking for a Transit van, Im willing to spend about £2000, for that much its looking like I can get a decent 1999 - 2002 plate one with various miles

lowest milage Ive seen is 81k but it was rough and the highest being 270k, fuck that

Ive spied one I like, its nice and straight 02 plate, ply lined 85ps 2.0 TD model for £1900

its done 138k though which seems to be the norm really

do these things last if they are looked after? it wont be getting driven hard as its a van and I have a car for that, will only be used for work, very rarley loaded up. also how cheap are parts and labour on them, I imagine they are cheap to fix with them being ten a penny?

Im using a Fiat doblo at the min with 150k on it and its had a terrible life, still goes well enough, surly the transits are better

got to be able to get full bathroom suiites in and full heating kits, quite annoying that the back of SWB ones are 9ft 8inches long and a length of copper pipe is 10ft

if you cut the vent out underneath the passenger seat though the pipe fits

Not a massive fan of the Ford Connect i currently have. At 18k the injectors needed replacing and at 25k the alternator died. This is a 57 plate with just coming up to 30k on the clock.

The floor is made of plastic and rips when dragging boxes out the back. The fuel cap has snapped off and appears to go through decent tyres every 10k motorway driving.

If i had my way it would have gone this month and have purchased another Belingo for the same money with lots of warranty. Saying that, i don't need a van and should have an A3 for simlar lease payments.

that is just a cover, you can take it off to reveal the proper metal floor. I agree though, we have a Connect at work that I use regular and it's crap, so slow and lifeless.
