I went too far forwards so pulled it out to reverse but it rolled back enough without needing to reverse, but I forgot to put it back into gear

That would be funny to see!

Thing is I realised quite quickly what I'd done but it wouldn't go in gear because the revs were too high, ended up just crunching it in and dumping the clutch hence spinning through to 3rd

PMSL, at Trax on the 0-60 many years ago I reversed back to give myself room to do a warm up burnout and then waited for the guy who was doing his run to clear off, then a nice big rev and release the clutch... the terror on the faces of the people standing behind was priceless, luckily I stopped it instantly and didn't kill everyone

my mate was in the finals at total vauxhall at crail couple of years back(under 1800 class) and he was so busy trying to put his window up(shity vauxhall ones that get half way up and then come back down) that by the time he had got them up the other guy was half way down the track!

Your not alone Graham.

There was a lad who done this in his nova years back. Big wheelspins, huge deal of burning out the tyres etc. Noisey noisey car, revs revs revs, GO, and he shoots backwards.

I think it was a PVS day actually, but whatever, the crowed chuckled away.
