Insurance is up on my main car and its worked out quite well as i've also just bought that escort and need to insure that.

last time i had two cars i just took out 2 policys.

Is there anything to consider when getting a 2 car policy? can anyone recommend a good company.

i was with direct line since i began driving but they won't accept the corrado anymore, so i've been with HIC

Have you got a clean licence 3cm and you're not 21 anymore are you?

Sounds a bit expensive.

i was with Admiral with one car and when the other was due i asked about it. was instantly put off when i was locked in for 18 months!

car one had 5 months left on the policy. car 2 was due for renewal.
at the time i could insure car 2 for 5 months to "catch up" with car one, then take out a joint 12month policy which i would have to take if i wanted the two cars (ie they only do it if the start dates are the same).

i didn't like the idea of being tied into the same company nor the fact they couldnt give me a quote for the policy in 5 months time for both cars. so i could have paid 5 month policy then forced to pay an undisclosed sum to have the two runs start at the same time

i put the phone down pretty quick!
would be different if you were starting them at the same time though!

See 3CM?!?

Fonz, cancelling a multicar policy is no issue, we've done it at home since I took out a policy with IAM surety
