Going to see a clio 1.2 tomorrow for a possible swap.... it's the later style... on a Y plate, is it a mk3? I don't know, just looks like a facelifted mk2?
Well not really sure what faults and problems to look for on these... I know most of you drive clio sports but meh

I think the main probelm with them is the fact they are french*...

*The above statement is what is called a joke so any french lovers please find that sense of humour...

Needing something a bit cheaper to run and insure atm as i'm skint, and in all honesty the 1.4 isn't all that economical. I will probably keep it for certainly no longer than a year. I'm even toying with sticking some decent wheels on it, and selling it, because it's in better condition that mine.

serv light and airbag warning lights, due to the wiring under the seats going funny.

crap tyres that are only good for summer use, called Sunny, mine has them and they are shite.

cd players have a mind of their own, one day they work, the next they dont! even hold your CD's hostage

and keyfobs can go, need reprogramming at the dealers for around £60 a go!

what spec is it pal?

i have a dynamique + at the mo, 03 plate, its loaded up, rain sensing wipers, auto lights, cd, electric windows, mirrors, sunroof i love it

Hmmm I drove an earlier one a few years back, and I quite liked it all honesty, the engine does seem quite happy whatever you do with it... assume they're the same engine, only thing I think the clutch was naff on it
I assume the SERV light means service is due?

I have a 53 Billabong as a runabout with all the bits you mentioned. I love it to as its so cheap to run. 100 miles to a tenner out of a petrol.

My serv light does flash on every now and again but touch wood ive not seen it for a few months

Went to see it, exterior was okay but had a ding in the pass side rear quarter, started it up, and guess what serv and airbag lights came on and stayed on asked to pop the bonnet and the bonnet cable had snapped... Nah I'll keep my corsa for now

They all have dings, they are made from the thinnest metal they could get away with. Saves on fuel though

not quite going to wash with me, I like my cars near perfection
My corsa isn't perfect but i've been to see 3 cars, and they all make mine look fresh out of the factory in comparison
