I've got something that needs to be painted, but only a small section and there are no edges to mask to. I've only got aerosol cans, which aren't ideal, but will hopefully suffice

How do I blend in the new paint with the old paint, without leaving any obvious lines from the masking? The paint is a brilliant match, thankfully.

no swage lines at all?
what are you painting?
Is it basecoat you have or direct gloss?

Use fade out thinner around the edge and use a coarse polish where you are blending into. You can get fade out in a can. Hard to explian just practice on an old panel first

It was part of a motorbike. I just painted the whole part instead, wasn't much more grief.
