What is it these days with people prefixing everything with the word LIKE and then following everything with "YOU KNOW"..

It drives me fucking insane!

Also about 60% of all sentances comprise of filler words; have people forgotten how to use the English language?

my bosses boss who is late 40s maybe, he ends every sentence with "I mean as I say", annoying to the MAX

I thought "like" in a sentence started in America, but like most things has ended up over here.

Also, "you know" has always been said by old people i find.
