i want some HID's for the puma but not sure which ones to go for, there are so many to choose from on ebay.

does anyone have any recommendations? i noticed MJ on here sells them, has anyone bought them?

also, what happens when bulbs blow with HID's? do you need to buy another set or just the bulb?

cheers.

Think my ones on the golf were from HIDS4U. They were 6k ones I believe

You just replace the bulb part when they go, but they should last a long time!

Also the White chalky sealant had cracked and got everywhere in the headlamp, not to mention the shield was too long so they didn't sit fully flush

I've gone back to normal bulbs and there more than adequate

I had HID Direct ones, but do not buy from there, I have never suffered worse customer service as I got from there when a bulb blew and I was well within warranty. I got there in the end, but it took lots of emails complaint and then finally a threat of trading standards before I got a new one

And you can get each component individually if something goes wrong, you don't need to buy a new kit. 4500 looks standard and 6000k looks a bit bluer, I had 6ks but I quite like how 4500's look

Hi mate

Yes i have been supplier kits for over a year now and never had an issue with any of the kits. i have sold many kits on here but mainly on the dc2 forum and never had any reports of broken bulbs. The bulbs can be purchased very easily if they do break but you do not need a full kit. The kits have been reduced by £5 for the month of august as well

Any questions please ask away.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Cheers MJ

oh ok, thanks. think i might go 6k as i like a tint of blue, pretending i drive a beemer

i've heard the puma headlights suit HID's well and doesn't give you the strange beam pattern, not sure how true this is though.

Ive had 2 kits Ben, first was from HIDs Direct, 8000k's on a Corsa B, had them on 12 month untill i sold the car, cost £80, not a single problem, 2nd set were 6000k's on a Corsa C, had them about 8 month on the car untill i sold it, cost £42 off someone on CCUK, they were a cheaper chinese version, worked fine, sometimes flickered on 1 bulb on start up, other than that was fine.

Pumas have projectors in dont they? So you will be fine, i had a few flash me in the B (no projecters) but in the C with projecters was fine. Also if you have 6k, you wont have no trouble off the plod.

yeah, afaik they are projector's.

that sounds great cheers

when i used to have the xenons in the focus, my work mate used to get the right arse if i was behind because they were so bright but they were so much better than crappy halogen bulbs and much much safer, so if these are anything like them then it's money well spent.
