Can anyone suggest some nice places i can go the other half for a nice weekend away. I dont mind travelling abit.
We had a look at inverness but decided it was a long way and if it pissed it down all weekend we wouldnt be happy with the price of the premier inn we where going to stay at.
Thinking of Edinburugh but have already been so dont want it to be a bit samey samey.
This is also the case with london and Centre parcs.
So can anyone help?
Just looking for a nice place to go fri-mon thats not mega expensive and has plenty to do. Im not to fussed about night life either as my gf doesnt really drink.

In the age of cheap flights why not a weekend away in Europe. I'm going 4 days in Rome soon to see Vatican City etc.

tbh i wouldn't trust cheap flights atm, isnt it like 3 or 4 cheap tour operators that have gone bust in the last couple of months?

We're going at the end of October for 3 nights, £70 for 2 of us return flights, room with 4 poster bed is £70 a night. so £300 for the two of us to get to Rome for 3 days
with Ryanair btw

Great price, but Rome is expensive in general, spent 2 weeks there in our honeymoon last year.
Id deffo go again, but I think youd want more than 3 days there as theres waaaay too much to see, you'd spend most the time travelling and not relaxing.

Lake district. Planning on going there at the end of the month camping.
Just nice sometimes to get away from it all. Family, friends and the big one - work.

Me and Jade are going to a wedding in Aberdeen next month, & seeing we are up that way we are going to visit a few places & turn it into a long weekend. Guy I work with has a rental property in Inverness so will probably go there for a night & then somewhere else!!
