Looking to change my car and need to order one soon. Been looking at a 1 series 123d m-sport or a Audi S3. What would people go for? Bit worried i will buy a S3 and then the cunts will announce a new A3 and have a new S3 following close behind!

Why a diesel or an S3? Mates got a 130i, I properly love it...

Edit: Just make that a bit clearer, nothing against diesels think their boss these days, just mean surely they are two completely different choices? Although I've got no idea what the 123d is like...

Yep i have not really looked at the 1 series petrols. Had a A3 d and its ok but not amazing, the 123 has quite a lot of power and is nice to drive though. Maybe i should checkout the 1 series petrol....

£25-£30k ish. £30k will see me in a S3 with the bucket front seats and other nice bits £26k sees me in a 123d m-sport with a couple of nice options.

There is a new A3 coming iirc. Next year rings a bell....that said, the 1 series has been with us for 5.5yrs so is probably in line for a resfresh.

Why are you compairing a 1 series to a A3? the numbering is a help there

S3 for me... it'll be heavy on fuel though. What colour are you thinking of? And yeah has to have the buckets, make the car so much more special.

I don't think the new A3 will be out till the end of next year at the earliest and certainly no new S3 for at least a year or 2 after that so you don't have to worry about that in the immediate future. Only thing is I know my local Audi said their looking at 6 months wait for the A3 at the moment, not sure if that includes the S3 or not though.
