I went exact same time as Colin in hotel next door, I even looked after Jade whilst he couldnt due to above reasons.

Had no issues tbh, in fact loved it and would def go back.

Sea Garden Resort.

My main goals are to see Pyramids/valley of kings etc, maybe some desert quad biking and diving.

If there is one piece of advise you should take it's got to be this....

Make sure you take antibacterial gel or wipes with you !!!! Egypt is a filthy place, and you will be grateful you had some on you.

Also...

The money there is very dirty, so be careful what you touch after dealing with cash, as that can easily make you sick too.

Try and stay away from meat, as it's not always in the best condition, and you will most likely end up with the shits.

If you eat any fruit, make sure it has skin that you can peal. Like apples, bananas, kiwis etc. I wouldn't recommend pre-prepared fruit salads either as you don't know where it's been.

Don’t drink the local water either. Try and stick with bottled water if you can.

Children are complete monsters, and will always ask for money, or rob you.

I could go on a little more, but it will most likely put you off from going !!!

FPMSL some people are just soft arses

I drank the water (accidentally tbh), ahd their ice cubes, ate meat most (all) nights, touched the money daily (without being a gay with hand gel), etc.

Do agree about the people being begging fuckers though.

if the locals start annoying you then say "imshi" to them and they will leave you alone. it took me a while to work up the balls to tell an arab to go away in his own language but was the best thing i did tbh. they do get a bit much at times. shop keepers aren't too bad so a polite "no thanks" is usually enough.

Not happy this morning. Getting married tommorow and Last minute called this morning while i was neck deep in last minute wedding details to tell me they had messed up and the dont have any space in the hotel i booked!

After going spastic at the woman down the phone she said she'll see what she can do and call me back. which she didnt.

I got home and booked Siva Grand hotel in Hurgarda with a junior suite and for less money!

I went to Cairo last summer for a short break for 4 days and in honesty, it was about 2 days too long.

Go to Cairo, go to the Pyramids, go to the Egytpian museum, and then get the fuck outta there.

Nothing else worth staying in Cairo for.

Yeah I did normal things without handwipes and stuff and didn't get the shits. I'm hard though, didn't even wear sunglasses.
