Id say anytime from birth to the age of 3. Any older than that and some kids might make fun of them for still sleeping in a cot.

I thought all 10 year olds had them the days. Not needed until they're more independent and out and about I'd say which depends on the kid.

I'll laugh if your next thread is titled "how to punish a kid who steals bank cards"

This, though circumstance depending anything above 10. So long as they're responsible with the credit (It'll help teach them lessons in money control to be fair)

I dont really see why anyone under 16 would need a mobile phone............who do they need to contact about what?

Work contacts - No
Business to take care of - No
Chicks - No
Sex Lines - No
Mates - Prob at home - use house phone?

No need for a child to have a moble really!

Might aswell give pets their own mobile if your including the kids tbh.

LOL at above - parents paying for a kid to have a contract phone......absolutelly insane!

Totally agree with Colon.

Unless they can pay for it themselves they shouldn't have one. They don't really need one at any age under at least 15/16. The only reason that they want one is to be cool.

Maybe I'm just an old miserable bastard.
