My video's are online.

Long story short, for the weekend racer session - I had left my coilovers set to super soft (how I use it daily) and had strange tyre pressures... The end result was a fairly uncontrollable car.
In the 2nd video, I've increased the coilover damping and pumped my tyres up - the difference in predictability / grip is high.

Videos

1st Video - 12:30 session - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhH7iVg9CbI
(Stupid handling)

2nd video - 3:30pm - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA5TZkm3pEs
(handling fixed, good scrap with caterham).

Car shouldnt really be uncontrollable on a road setting! I heard you lost your spin virginity though Paul. Bet you were an angry man!

I didn't spin mate. Watch the vids.

The problem is, it was setup ultra soft - so the suspension was loading up, breaking traction... then being too slack to really slide / catch and bouncing / tankslapping. Most of the movements you see on the steering is the car jumping about.

Watch the 2nd vid with it hard and it's no longer a problem as the car's handling tight again.

heh... not exactly 'well saved' - pretty sloppy... it just went unexpectedly. Tyres were toasted.

Watch the 2nd vid the difference is quite noticable.

Looking on some of those vids I see a few 1 min 24 / 1 min 25 sec laps with a bit of traffic

Mine did two videos, I started it off when we moved then turned it off in the queue and restarted it when the first line moved, got about 10 mins, ends with me going "oh fuck" when I bounced and missed gears into quarry

I'll get it uploaded later, I did terrible all over the place, 3rd ever session though so not too bad in hindsight

My main videos have got interference too, all crackly, quite annoying but the videos quite good fun to watch with it being attached to my lid

Yeah, the bumpy / soft suspension was throwing me all over the place in my seat. I just wish I had the setup from the 2nd session, in the 1st!

Looks alot better in the second video Still a tad twitchy? Or is that just the bumpyness of the curcuit?

Sounds nice though and looks very quick on the straight. Standard engine?
Reminds me how much I miss honda gearboxes too. So quick and short compared to the saxo which is like stirring a pot

No probs mate. I didn't want to overtake you in the bend or try going around the outside, was just unfortunate you were stuck in the inside of the bend as it blocked the line.

No offence fella, but i was in the saxo, we pulled about 30 car lengths on you within two corners. You should be aware if a car gains that quickly you should let them past. You were sat on the right of the track on 3 straights after 3 corners so where else is he ment to overtake ?

Rob, I only noticed that saxo had semi slicks after the session. Did it have anything else? I noticed a 4 branch manifold, filter and exhaust... Was going well, I caught it once, then had to wait for Chris, then caught the saxo again and slid off the track I wanted to go past
