Am i right in saying it wont turn over because the oil is fuckerd?

If i drop the mayo oil and put some fresh in will it get me 2 miles home?

If it's not turning it has seized. You may be able to rock it in gear to free it up but still wouldnt put oil in and drive it otherwise you may aswell buy new engine.

although you could be at that point anyway...

Take the plugs out and turn it over, should be amusing as water is projected from the bores.

No chance, as long as it was topped up with water that'd be well enough. The only real advantage of coolant in that respect and this weather is the fact it gives the water a slightly higher boiling point and works as a rust inhibitor. I was using water alone for about a year in the Corsa and no fan and it used to be totally fine.

But I doubt you'd see a head gasket going for that reason.
