At the moment I got a bmc enclosed kit but doesn't have a cold air feed, don't mind it just fancied a change, lots of people use cone filters but would imagine would just suck up hot air! Thinkin bout putting in a corsa gsi airbox as it would fit on if I connect the gsi afm, any suggestions?

dont need the gsi afm, just the xe afm.

standard gsi airbox with a panel filter works the best.

Theres mounts on a GSI (C16) airbox for the AFM to bolt onto, so would be awkward to pipe up, whereas a normal airbox is just a straight pipe up affair.

Thats the type I mean.

I use an open cone filter with a heat shield, and have never once had a problem with 'heat soak'. Maybe the 20xe is different, can't see it being a massive problem though.

Nothing really but you can clean them and re-use so no need to buy a new filter often
