car is running really bad! its struggling and spluttering at low revs in any gear, and often at higher revs too.

so did a paper clip test

and i think ive read the fault code to be 0335= crank sensor?

heres a video to make sure from you guys

http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k295/eyeless666er/?action=view&current=CorsaFaultCodeReadingX14XE.mp4

going to sound like a bad question, but i have no way of fixing it this weekend and will be driving the car to work all week untill i can do so, is this bad? or dangerous to causing any other problems in anyway?

thanks for any help, on what to try or how to replace

cheers

JB

if you did the test with the engine off it will throw up incorrect rpm signal.....if thats how you came to think it was the crank sensor mate, that threw me off when i was trying to sort my sri out

Yes, buy a new crank sensor and fit it

thanks for the replies, might just give it a clean and see what happens for now.

is the sensor itself on the timinng belt side of the engine? iirc you have to remove the top cover and its just in there?

ok really frustrating me now,

ive replaced the crank sensor, and cleaned the camshaft sensor

its still doing it!

ill explain whats happening.
when i put my foot down, it hesitates/judders/stutters/struggles up untill around 3k revs then drives normally and fine

it feels like missfiring, all my sparks are ok, and leads are fine, EML was on but ive replaced the crank sensor it diagnosed

have no idea what it could be!

just been reading another thread which had similar problems to you and it turned out to be his idle control valve.

maybe you could try that?

You should have listened to this guy instead of buying a crank sensor.

lambda, I've had similair problems and that's what sorted it.
