I know of a guy called phillip whos a mechanic are there any others oh and whats phillips username hes a truck mechanic i think thanks guys

its my xe its running badly when i dip the clutch the revs drop and it revs itself to about 1500 then back to idle but doesnt idle well especially when cold it keeps revving itself to about 1100 and ive cleaned the icv !

maybe cleaning aint doing it any good because its broken, i cleaned mines out every other week with carb cleaner then used an airline to dry it out, it would work for a bit then break again so i finally replaced it

yeah might need to buy a new one they expensive ? i think all the pipes are ok as i cleaned them aswell afm is ok as well i think as when i got it it was missing part way through the rev range but adjusted the afm and it was ok but the idle wasnt

why did you adjust the afm? its set the way it is for a reason, ive never messed with an afm on any of the 6 ive had, have you went round all the other sensors to make sure there connected correctly? know anyone else with an xe engine fitted that you could try there icv?
