I've sent 138 Items out in the last 14 days.

136 have arrived at their destination.

2 didn't - I posted these items as a large letter, so any idea what kind of compo I can recieve from it, if any?

I have a reciept as proof of postage from a post office, so i'm covered. However how do things get lost?

Quite fucked off about it, as somebody specifically asked will it be first class, and will they deffo have it tomorrow. ( I said yes ) Posted it, and 2 weeks later, they've still not got the item. Just makes me look like a lying cunt, even know I have a PO reciept.

Now I know how Dave A feels when he lost 20 out of 20 DHL parcels

large letter isnt insured at all, so not sure on what compensation you can recieve. Even recorded letters you can get near enough fuck all compo from them, special delivery is all that's worth it.

If you got the proof of postage, i guess you went to the desk got them weighed properly etc... Otherwise it could be that they were underpaid on the postage? Which would mean they wouldnt make their destination.

98% success aint too bad

and regarding things getting lost, could of gone at any point really, they do deal with a couple of items each day, with a largely unskilled/pissed off and therefore not very good workforce. People chuck stuff anywhere as long as they dont have to do another 10 secs of work

Edit!

You have to wait 15 working days before your can file a claim - post office have the forms and you can take them back to the post office or send them freepost direct to claims department. They are very slow at refunding anything from 2 weeks to 3 months and you usually only get the cost of items, not postage back - although it has been know to get that too.
You will need original receipts etc for goods in parcel to make your claim.
Make sure you keep copies of everything you send them too as they are good at loosing your info too.

Seriously though. If it was only sent standard first class, you may be able to claim the cost of postage back, not sure if you can claim the cost of the goods.

IF you can claim the cost of the goods back, you may only be able claim upto £39. Though that could be first class recorded?!

Its only 2 X bluetooth headsets, at £8 each, so not that bothered.

They said to send them as a large letter because it fitted

If they are high-ish value items send them recorded not normal first class.

Bear in mind that some people use eBay to pull a fast one over sellers and claim they never received the item (which was sent normal post) in order to get another for free...

They're useless, I had to file a claim through a seller for something, seller claimed, sent me out a replacement, a few months later the original magically appeared through my letterbox.
