Does the exhaust system improve performance much?

Did you have to modify the arches to allow for the front shock travel?

What front forks have you got on there Vibs out of interest?

cheapest RST forks I could get when I bought the Disc set. I did have manitou forks but legs where too close for discs

Ah, furry muff

I had some Rock Shox SID XC on my old bike but the disc mount was in a shite position - the disc used to rub like feck on the fork - bloody £350 those forks were at the time too...

Bloody 'ell!

Did you have a bit too much air in them?

I must admit, the worse thing I had on the old bike was a Middleburn crank - one of those trials jobbies - jesus, not too practical for day to day riding Got rid after about 3 months and got a lurvely Shimano XTR one

I had an XT chainset and was looking at swapping the cranks for Middleburn items.

Only because they had nice colours.

True! Mine was a spangly red, pretty nice kit, just not too useable for day-to-day.

XT stuff was nice too, I had XT shifters, front mech and rear brake, the rest was XTR/

IIRC, my RapidFire shifters were XTR, with 2 finger brake levers.

I used to laugh at Gripshift.

XTR was not worth the extra cash over the XT. however I would get a UN-72 BB as it was quite light even compared to hope. I had stx RC with middle burn 44T outerring. it was nicked hence why it is green with a blue Orange
