Took longer than i thought & it got a bit dark so had to lighten the pics a bit.

You get the idea though.

Time to put it up for sale, again, for the last time.

Its aroura purple, pretty rare colour.

Need to sell as have just moved house, and found there may be an addition to the family coming, so need to get something a bit safer & bigger.

When i first got the plates i really liked them, not so sure on them now.

Cheers for the love x

£2k is a lot to be asking now for an XE but you're as well sticking it up at that and seeing what interest you get. I wouldn't be advertising it as a track car, you'll maybe find it'd put more people off than it attracts, in general I'd say there are more people looking to just use it on the road that might think it's been ragged if the word track's in the title.

I'm no expert by the way, that's all my opinion. Looks a cracking car anyway, good luck with shifting it

I say its a track car, thats what i built it for, but its hardly done any road miles, not enough to even get to a track!

2k may be a lot, and i know its not an investment, but i think to buy a corsa in that colour and do everything i've done to it, you're looking at a fair bit more. It will be a good price to someone who likes it, i hope.

The wheels are nice, fairly light too, bit of an arse to clean though!

Going to stick it on the bay on a buy it now with offers auction, what do you recon to my listing?

quote:

After much thought & deliberation, as much as it saddens me, i have to sell the car. Need to free some cash up, i've hardly driven the car over the last year.

Basically, i bought the car with a knackered engine, it was originally a 1400 16v sport. I stored it in the garage for a bit, and gathered some bits, finally deciding to go down the 2.0 16v route.

Its been a long build, like 3 years or something, i work away from home alot & kept loosing interest in it.

The original engine when tits up with less than 100 miles on it, bottom end started knocking (only part i didnt strip), so i've stuck another engine in & its sweet as a nut, no tapping, small leak on sump gasket, but pretty common. Engine is really strong, no smoke, uses no water & truth be told, its a hoot to drive!

Its a cracking car to drive, and with a bit more spent on things like polycarbs and what not, it will be a cool little track weapon.

Condition -

The car has had a recent paint job, it wasnt the best in the world, but its all one colour, but, when i was playing with the cage, i found out the sunroof wouldnt fit, so i tried a few different methods and the biggest mistake was getting a carbon panel made up, i tried to bond it on but due to the curve in the roof it didnt work, and when removing the bonding agent, i damaged the paint around the hole. Now it has a standard roof panel in, that is fitted via a shortened mech and strong sealant, i've washed the car & it does not leak at all. apart from that, the body work is pretty good, the interior is painted black, not the best finish, but to be fair, its not a show car, its a go car.

I have the V5, i will leave it up to the buyer to change the engine number & size over. I have had the car insured as a 2.0 16v with everything declared, but i have forgot to send the V5 off stating the change, i am officially rubbish at remembering to do stuff like that. If the buyer wants, i will do this before the car is picked up as i understand in some instances the DVLA ask for a engineers report, i had a friend fit the engine who is a time served vauxhall mechanic, and i can get a report no problem.

If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch, i would advise you coming to look at the car as its not for everyone, its very loud inside due to no carpets / soundproofing, its very bumpy & if you have a wide frame you may struggle with the bucket seats. You can come down & i will take you out in the car, but unless you bring proof of insurance, and some for of deposit, you wont be driving it.

I do NOT want to p/x on anything even remotley sporty. I am however in the market for a seat leon tdi or similar, which i will be buying with the sale of the corsa & my runaround fiesta.

This car is sold as seen, as soon as you hand over the cash, its yours, but there are no come backs.

Payment is cash on collection, or i will accept cheque, bank transfer etc, but i will not hand over the keys until the money has cleared.

Never sold a car on ebay, fingers crossed i dont get any time wasters!

I would slim down the listing a bit, i found buyers prefer a short, simple listing. Just keep it to the facts mostly.

Also, go for anybody with at least 10 good feedbacks.

I've already slimmed it down

I always think the more info thats there, the less chance of someone saying, oh you didnt tell me about that etc.

I've put some restrictions on the buyer in the options menu, so hope that helps.
