Just seen a topic on another forum about the new Audi Quattro unveiled at Geneva
http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/257677/audi_quattro_concept_unveiled_at_paris.html
Does anyone else think its very similar to the 2012 Corrado?
To me they are similar proportions? the 5cyl TT engine (tuned to 400bhp) is going to be used in the Quattro, so maybe a de-tuned version will appear in the Corrado?

i really can't decide whether i like the quattro or not.
but thats what makes it appeal to me i think. i don't love it and i don't hate it. the rear looks perfect, but the front end looks a bit like a basking shark.

All the people who are earning 10million this year instead of 20million last year. Just because it's a recession doesn't mean the rich aren't still rich.

Don't worry mate, the front end will be ruined when they have to put a massive plastic beam across the grille when they go to put a UK numberplate on it
Numberwang!

Corrado yes. Audi front end, yes, Audi rear end, no.
But impossible to really comment until we see a real-life VW.

don't like vag mate, can i clear that up, i've liked one certain car they made, i like it since it came out, and always wanted one, finally i got one and i'm quite happy with it.
I didn't waste money on my nova, or my corsa, just drove them for 8yrs until i could insure a car i would like and happy to spend money on.
couldn't give a poo about golfs, polos etc, i lump them in the same catergory with lots of common cars i view as commonplace everyday cars.
i like the look of this audi quattro, Hopefully they won't be driven by every bastard, like the TT and scirocco, hopefully it won't be fitted with a TDI to please everyone, hopefully it will remain special like the original

your stuckin the middle ages
Its a good job you do not run a business or car compnay as you wouldnt last 5 mins
Its about keeping up with consumer demand and marketting the right products for the right people
Not everyone wants a golf coupe with an old V6 engine that requires peiople to throw 6k at it to keep it on the road - If thats a good special car then you can keep it and i will stick with the new versions

i know mate, not everyone wants an old lotus, old tvr, old mg, old Vdub there are plenty of people out there with old and decent cars they like to keep on the road.
for me it the only sports coupe VW made, and the fastest for a long time, still not much in it with alot of modern equivlants, looks wise and seating position i still not experienced a better car.
i love going to car places where people enjoy cars and not just wank over the latest/newest profit machines.
wheres the fun in that, all it shows is how much money you have

wrong - can show how much debt people are willing to take on or what ever it is
No wonder you cant get your head around it - as you never consider the full story
As for seating positions - how many cars have you actually driven to warrent the seating positon being better
Your trying to justify your car when quite clearly you dont need to to
You have bought what you perceive is a classic but in reality its nothing out of the ordinary and requires alot of money to be invested into it to keep it going
If thats what you like doing then fine
others prefer to put that money into newer cars
End of - why argue it
