Does anybody else have...adverse reactions to coffee or is it just me?

coffee tends to make me feel sleepy and makes me feel light headed for 2 mins after drinking it.
Maybe I have a girly weak body but I thought coffee was meant to make you feel awake and alert?

is it just me that has this reaction?

I drink regular coffee, latte, cappuchino, doesn't matter which, it makes me feel sleepy. I've researched this could be a symptom of ADD/ADHD which COULD make sense..

I don't think so :s thing is, I don't usually drink it. Sometimes I drink a few cups a day when at work, I rarely drink it at home, so I don't drink many at all, on an average day, I'll have 0 cups. Just when on a 12 hours shift etc I think it will wake me up so I will have a coffee but all it seems to do it make me sleepy.

I dont do coffee, or excess amounts of caffiene, fucks me up. Makes me feel sleepy, increased heart rate etc...

Think it was caused when I had 12 free pepsi's in a few hours when the pub I worked at did free pepsi.

I dont really like the taste of coffee anyway, so not hard to avoid.

Can happily drink 2l of coca cocla and feel fine though

TBH I'm no help in this thread what so ever, I drink loads of coffee day in day out, doesn't really affect me either way (i.e. making me buzz or tired) .

I can't drink mu caffeine either. Not very good seeing as I've developed a love of coffee recently. I read in Mens Health that you could drink 6 cups a day, or something like that, if I drank that much then I would have a heart attack

I was also at a ski comp a few years back, it was sponsored by Red Bull and all the riders got as much free Red Bull as they liked and I had loads during the day, then at the after party there was free Red Bull and vodka. The night felt a bit like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiTF4_sDgPo

Essex style ?? Do you really want to start things !

Damn I miss old times !!

OP, I'd probably say go to the doc's/don't have caffiene, they may want to do a blood test and make sure everything is ok, might have a weak tolerance to caffeine
