I'm looking at selling up and buying another car...

- I'm 21
- Looking to spend about £3000
- I'd prefer RWD
- I'd prefer japanese

I've had a few thoughts and come up with an MR2 or an S13, still undecided though.

Anyone got any other suggestions or links?

Cheers

Could I ask why it's preferable to be Jap? Can only think of the Silvia's and MR2's and not a lot else that will be decent except an MX5! You COULD get an RX7 for that, but Ash would probably recommend you didn't.

Too heavy imo too. I'd rather have a 200sx.

They are heavy and rare (in the fact that you rarely see one at least ) but they aren't exactly expensive, and have enough power to make the weight less of an issue!

Decent!

Yeah, 300bhp twin turbo V6 aren't they? I've never been keen on their looks tbh plus the fact they weigh so much.

Because jap's just cool! I prefer the styling of a jap car.
I'm leaning towards an S13 at the minute.

The thing is, it will be my daily driver so things like a 2.5 litre BMW would kill me on fuel!

Turbo jap motor will just be as bad,if not worse. Will need to be ran on the more expensive Super-unleaded/optimax fuel. The BMW are N/A so wont sook the fuel when you hit boost like the jap motor.

Get a 330D E46.. RWD, luxo-barge, tuning box gives pleanty of poke and you'll see good economy..

As said above if you are worried about fuel dont go for a turbo petrol.
