Basically, fitted Nova with an XE. Sent the logbook off to change it to a 2.0l. They sent me a letter saying they want an engineers report. What's the best option as I fitted the engine myself?

Ask local backstreet mechanic to have a look and write that it's safely fitted on a peice of his headed paper. Send off. Buy mechanic a pint

Cheers babe. I know yeah, i don't know why they wrote that on the letter. I think it put 1998cc when i first sent it off.

Ask you insurance company to send you out a engineers report for then take your car to a vauxhall dealership with the engineers report form for them to do it.

Thats the way i declared my 1.6 conversion as no where else would touch it.

Also best to take the form once completed with you to your local DVLA office with your log book as your tax disc will need replacing.
