Anyone got one?

Theres an indoor market in Scarborough that sells them (as well as the usual gadget shops) I ummed and ahhed last time but didn't bother in the end.

Went today and bought one, they had small ones for £10 and next size up was £25, I couldn't justify that so bought the cheap one!

Bloody thing takes 6 AA batteries Control unit has a cable to charge the helicopter, £25 one did it via USB.

Just had a quick go and besides spinning around abit before take off it seems alright, apart from nearly taking my face off of course.

I had a cheap one but it was a but crap. There was no way to control it because it only had one trigger in the remote.

Probably best to ask me in a few days!!!

But according to instructions -

Left stick - Up and down

Right stick - Left and right changes the propeller direction

slowly moving left stick can change speed. Right stick slowly can make it go back and forward

I've got a feeling its all a lot harder than that.

If you're gonna get one, do it properly and get a big ol' 1m diameter rotor electric job

Easier to control too as they weigh much more, but properly expensive if you crash it

The first one I had only had elevation and rotation controls. To move backwards or forwards it needed weighting at the nose appropriately.

Second one I got was a chinook type one, similar price (sub £30) and it has forward/backward up/down left/right controls, and is MUCH better.

Can land it on a saucer with a bit of practise - they're so accurate. Break easily, but cheap as hell to repair or replace.

Love it

I have the roflcoptor above.
You have to set the trim on the right stick so it stops spinning. Then if you push lever left the cootie goes forwards and if you push it right it turns round. Not your usual left and right like a car.
Or it's left to turn and right to go forward.
Good fun though
