My MK4 Golf car key is looking very sorry for its self, the VW badge has rubbed off, the plastic is battered and the loop that attaches it to your keys has almost fallen off and is super glued on...

Would it be possible to buy a new case and transfer the blade and internals across? If so where from?

IIRC you could just buy a complete new key and reprogram it fairly easily yourself.
