Has anyone got any experience of these; meant to be looking at a Black 2000/X reg one this evening. Never driven or even been in one before but look quite good on paper. Just after something cheapish to run and will be a little fun without causing problems.

So anything to look out for / experiences of these?

have you seen the price of the Lupos? Ridiculous money! I remember when they were knew I quite liked them then sat in one and couldn't get the seat back enough and the love affair was over

Not slow at all, never had ANY issues with us and had it over a year.

It got hammered around the Nurburgring and ate it up.

Lovely car.

Had ZERO issues with ours, bought with 82k on sold with 101k so don't listen to all the horry stories.

Proper Essex Touring Cars series around the GP Track in Germany as well.

Nice, as you say the lights are hoop though. IIRC those wheels are a bitch, they are a bugger to keep clean and the laquer peels off very easily.

What are the wheels like? Get some AP coilovers for it, will ride lovely and handle even better.

The wheels polished lip is a little pitted but not to bad!

Only plans at the moment are to change the rear lights (although cant seem to find a standard set at the moment!) and then tidy a few bits and needs a couple of tyres. Might do a few bits next year but banned from spending money till then as got an expensive house move coming up

@NovaGTE2: Same shape as mine, (except I haven't got the GTI), very nice and comfy seats (as I managed to source some for my car), IF you change your wheels, please can I have first dibs on them? Lights, I may have them off you, u2u me with details. Ive got standard lights on mine (poss straight swap?)

@ all those mentioning the seats, Silly design but comfy as hell
