Yup, car insurance sucks at the moment.
I'm 27, 5 yrs no claims, cheapest i can find is £40 more than last year.
Try Admiral, they were the cheapest I could get.
Just tried Aviva, and it's £50 or so more than Admiral was

Swift tried to charge me an extra £100 for my renewal, that was with 4yrs NCB and turning 25 (which i always thought lowered insurance).
Go-compared and Confused.com got me no where and in the end, old dear recommendation, i went with Aviva which was lower £110 cheaper than my renewal as they're offering 2 months free to new customers. So i'd try them!

Insurance seems to have gone up a lot this year, Got mine in March and quotes recently have been stupid in comparison. Must be a lot of people claimed after last winter and they have to recoup their losses/look forward to this winter.

I've always found compare sites shite, usually get cheaper quotes going to the insurers website directly. As i say, it's worth checking out aviva as they're doing the 2 months free for new customers.
