Anyone know how they get them to drift so well? My 4wd car would not drift that well and if it was just rwd it would spin out too easily... I assume they run different grip tyres on front and rear? but anyone know?

get a old set of wheels, get yourself down to your local b&q, get some drainpipe that fits just over the wheels. cut the drainpipe to the correct size and glue them only your wheels and bobs your uncle

They do proper drift tyres now that are basically just solid plastic and offer no grip at all.

There is a guy on another forum i go onto that has just built one of these.

He has spent a lot of money on it. They are 4wd, but you need to lock the rear diff, and have the front open.

i bought one of the hpi drift ones which broke 3 out of the 3 times i used it then sold got it fixed each time and eventually sold it on, was a pain in the arse to control with not having any grip at all.

thought my old one with normally tyres was easier to get it to drift further than the drift one.

I tried making mine do this before with my taymia rc car, took the motor off the tc3 and everything but couldn't get it to work. Wasn't aware of 4wd, rear diff and wheels when I tried it. Might have to try again
