How much did you pay when you first started driving?

Back in the day when I was 17 I paid £1600 to be insured FC on my own on a 1.2 8v Corsa. Got £300 back by doing the pass plus scheme. This was back in 2001.

It's a ridiculous amount of money but that is the cheapest I could get so I had to pay it if I wanted to drive And didn't want to go on my Mummy and Daddy's insurance.

£2400 on a 1.6 8v 106 XSI. 17 years old.

£1800 on a 1.2 16v Corsa Fully Comp, got some back from doing Pass Plus. All in my own name!

Went like this:

£1800 (Corsa) > £1000 (Corsa/Swap to Ibiza) > ACCIDENT > £1600 (Clio) > £1000 (Ibiza no2) > £650 (Ibiza no2) > £460 (Mito)

£1600 on my 1.6 16v Corsa GSi TFT at 18 with a claim to my name

Just short of £2000 fully comp on a 1.4 8v Ibiza Chill That was about a year and a half ago just after i turned 18. All my own policy with no older named drivers.

Think it was about £1600 FC when I had my 1.4 escort at 18
Didn't have a car for a few years then so my first year properly driving was just over £1k FC on a 1.9 Ibiza at 24

1600 on my 1.0 B, but got £250 back after pass plus.

Then something like 1200 (B), 800 (1.2 C), 600 (1.2 C), 450 (Golf) and then suddenly back up to 600 this year (still Golf)

Did deliveries for the chippy to pay for it. Can't complain right enough the car itself was bought for me.

2000, plus an extra 200 for paying monthly, then paid an extra 200 4 months in to change cars!

Paid 1600 tpft with mods delcared and 1NCB on the 1.6 Ibiza, then 1k FC with mods on the tdi ibiza. Now got 2ncb, map declared living in cov 1500 TPFT
