Is it just me or is being a private seller cheaper for fees?
It seems to be complicated for private sellers its 9.9% of final value but up to £40 but I sold something for £100 but had to pay £10 fees

Alright something that is sold for £100+£15 postage they would take £15
Business seller would be £14
But you have to pay £15 a month to be a business seller, so what the fuck is the point?

Because business sellers would probably sell plenty of items so it works out a lot cheaper.

You don't pay £15/month to be a business seller, you only pay that if you want a "shop" on eBay.

I have a shop.
I can have quantity on my items, for example;
I have 147 of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260678396759&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
If I listed indicidually, it would take a lot more time.
If something eligable to cost an insert fee, it would also save a lot of money, 0.50 x 100 = £50, opposed to a shop paying just the one listing fee of £0.50.

Total eBay fees this month was £93. If I didn't have the shop, I would also have to pay a shit load of insert fee's.

Oh right cool, I knew obviously it would be better the more you sell, so whats the benefits of a "shop"?

Not a lot, saves time when you've got a high quantity of something, and saves money when you list something with a price over £1.00.
And you can list your stock on your actual shop, i seriously need to sit down and add loads, just havnt got the time!

I will probably be selling a product at as said £100 a time, may only sell 10 a month, so probably best to do it through the normal private seller or business for the lower fees, won't bother with a shop prob.
Whats this VAT number you can get too?

To save making another thread, I can now be a powerseller if I want to be, seriously can't find any benefits to it though, apart from another little thing next to my username, is it worth doing or not?

A good friend of mine had a LOT of hassle selling on amazon. He ended up cracking and just using his online shop only, rather than ebay, play.com and amazon (he was a game shop)

They're actually refunds, just a couple of 99p things that havnt been paid for. Rest are refunds as they weren't happy with the item they recieved. Just go in there as it looks like they havnt paid for the item. Just cba deleting them.

It's well worth doing.
If you are just a powerseller at the lowest level you save 5% on final value fees. Make it to a top rated seller and basic powerseller it's 25%
