Got a job interview next Friday, if I get said job then ill be on shit wages for a few years, plus ill have a 100 mile round trip every day, so the astra will have to go.

Need something cheap to run, fairly comfortable seeing as im doing 100 miles a day, and insurance friendly too.

Budget of £2.5-£3k

Would like something with decent power, but anything is going to be a step down from the astra

I'd have thought you'd get a HDi for that kind of money.

Or even a 206 HDi.

Will let you know

Its at serimax in evanton, interview is for an apprentice welder. Know a few guys that work there, one lad in his 2nd year had some work in Norway a few months back, good pay too.

Public transport up here is horrendous, its simply not possible to commute using it

Tried to use that admiral multicar already when I had my track 106, but it was an absolute fortune, nearly £2k.

But you'd have to get up an hour and a half earlier so that you could get the bus, which would pretty much cancel it out Plus a bus would take about 4 days to do 50 miles
