im thinkin of swappin my 1.2 8v for 1.6 16v, just wondered wot happens with the built in immobilisers on it, i know theres a black thing attached to the ignition barrel so i guess u change that but dus that mean u need to use the key off the donor car too cus that will have the chip in it for the immibiliser wont it? or dya swap the chip into my key, please help bit unsure bout this

Swap transponder chip out of old key into ur key - its the small grey wedge in the bottom corner of the key - usual glued in so be carful prising it out - swap immobiliser control unit (black ring round ign barrel) over otherwise u will have to have it reprogrammed with tech-2

cheers bud, i jut u2u'd u bout this so just ignore that. do u have to splice the loom into mine or dus it just connect to it or wot? is there any diagrams newhere i can get hold of so i know wot im lettin myself in for!

Keep total engine wiring harness inc ecu on 16xel engine - small plug behind inlet manifold (off the top of my head i think with 6 wires goin into it - this is where u splice ur loom into. wud have to look at diagram to be sure!!
