What do you need a book for, when you've got a television?

I love it when people say books are better than t.vs! - No they just make you think your smarter because you read big words that make no sense and by the time you've finished your thousand page book you can only remember the beginning the middle and the end. Everything else you've forgotten. Booorrring.

To be honest, what's 'Booorrring' is watching a load of mind numbing incompetent clueless retards on programmes like XFactor, Apprentice and I'm a z-list 'celeb' in a jungle. Reading a decent book easily out ways that

Edit - Saying that, LOTR's?!

THE most boring book I've ever started to read. The films are a much better summary.

The hobbit on the other hand, loved that book.

That is my worst nightmare right there. A big book of words, most of which are not true. Actually never want to do that.

Saying the book is better or not wanting to read it? I've no doubt it's far superior to watching it on a TV but I wouldn't have the will power.

The latter. Naturally some people don't have the time, or patience to read a book. But 9 times out of 10, the book is better. The da Vinci code, Angels and Demons, Hunt for Red October, Trainspotting, and anything else I've read before watching has left me disappointed in the film!
